Awesome/Talented/Entertaining
Saw this show a few years ago at the Meyerhoff, before the show was over, I knew I would see them everytime they came back!!! As a bonus the cast did a meet and greet with the audience in the lobby after their Amazing performance!!!
Youth at it's finest.
My husband saw the movie and I didn't know what to expect. I found the youth were so energetic, totally performing with such wonderful talent and polish. It was a great experience. They put their hearts and souls into the performance tonight. They had it all, audience participation, wonderful vocals, stunning drummer's and a band that was all brass. So great and entertaining. I wish them the best with their travels and I do believe no one was sad in the audience. It was a very happy crowd that was there and whom ever their parents are they should be proud of these young people and they are all more than good enough for a Broadway show. I'd recommend this for a family outing, clean fun as well as a teaching experience on the history of black universities in the USA. We saw this in Cerritos and there are several great restaurants near by that are LA Based chain, i.e., Wood Ranch. YOu are near the beach in Orange County where you have some of the best places to eat and relax.
Drumline Live so entertaining!
Best show ever and very audience friendly
Great performances but -2 stars for excessive volume
The person above who said bring earplugs is on the right track, but I will go one better. Stay away until they learn to respect their audience’s health. It is loud by design. I recently saw a DrumLine Live! show. Great energy, but… BUT… IT WAS TOO LOUD! My Apple Watch and the person’s next to me both registered 109 decibels sitting near the back of the theater throughout the performance. When I complained to the venue, they said DrumLine supplied their own microphones and hired their own audio engineer and it is stated in their contract to be loud. Microphones on trumpets. TRUMPETS! The show is not worth permanent hearing loss. STAY AWAY!
BRING EARPLUGS
I have seen the show before and loved the old version. This show was way too loud, disjointed, with too much shouting and voice over. Lighting and staging were very sloppy.
