Why see Lionel Richie with Mariah Carey?

All the Hits!

A pop music force of nature, Lionel Richie has been making sweet music for over 50 years, both with the funk outfit The Commodores and as a solo artist. He has an Oscar, five Grammys and 16 American Music Awards to his name, with his songwriting talents matched only by his megawatt charisma and old-time showman stage persona. 2017 see Richie heading out on a nationwide tour, with a very special guest in tow - none other than pop diva Mariah Carey, taking a break from her Vegas residency.

This huge joint tour is titled All the Hits and with good reason. These two have amassed enviable back catalogues of iconic numbers, including 'Hello', 'Without You', 'One Sweet Day', 'Three Times A Lady', 'I'll Be There', 'All Night Long (All NIght)', 'We Belong Together' and many more. Lionel Stole The Show!

Although I appreciated Mariah Carey's vocals, Lionel stole the show! He made the night spectacular and made it very personable and fun! Probably the best concert I have been to for a long time! Couldn't help but listen to him more on my morning commute today! Still basking in the moment! Highly recommend the show, but I believe Seattle was the last show! Thanks Lionel for making me a life long fan! ... Read more

Lionel Ritchie is still GREAT

We went to the Lionel Ritchie Mariah Carey concert last night. Mariahs band was so loud with bad acoustics that I could not even hear her. But Lionel Ritchies performance was amazing. He put on a fabulous show, sang all his great hits and more. The added bonus was he was so funny and personable. Highly recommend seeing his show. He was great. ... Read more

Richie was Oustanding - Mariah was pathetic as usual

What a professional performer Lionel Richie is still after all these years. Sounded great and looked like he enjoys entertaining people. It was well worth enduring the Mariah set to hear a real legend deliver a real performance. His music still holds up today. I took my 8 year old daughter and she danced the whole night with me. She wondered what was wrong with "That lady", re; Carey. Carey was a joke, a self-parody. Every song sounds the same, stands around immobile, and has little range in her voice. Unfortunately, most Careyites consider shrieking to be some great talent. The whole diva shtick with Carey reflects a real reality tv feel, which is where she belongs. ... Read more
