Dark Star Orchestra

The Grateful Dead have been resurrected in the form of Dark Star Orchestra. Formed in 1997, this tribute band came up with the novel idea of recreating complete sets from The Grateful Dead's gigantic list of concerts. State Champs at The Fillmore

State Champs

In early 2010, State Champs burst out of their home city of Albany, New York with a bold new vision for the future of pop punk. Whilst mixing shades of Sum 41, Blink 182, Fall Out Boy and New Found Glory, the energetic quintet put their own unique spin on the oversaturated genre thanks to fast-paced rhythms, emotive lyrics, the distinctive wailing vocals of their youthful frontman Derek Discanio and the sparkling guitar riffs of dual guitarists Tyler Szalowski. Bassist Ryan Scott Graham and drummer Evan Ambrosio keep things pumping and fill out the sound with fuzzy basslines and pounding drums.
