Kraftwerk

Kraftwerk at Franklin Music Hall

Why see Kraftwerk?

Autobahn 50th Anniversary

The German electronic pioneers are taking their critically acclaimed 3-D tour back on the road in 2025 as they celebrate the 50th Anniversary of their iconic album 'Autobahn' and their first world tour which took place in 1975. A Kraftwerk gig requires suspension of disbelief; it's hard to guess that the four-piece are creating the music live on stage as you watch, as they use minimal movements on their keyboards. Not one to miss if you're an electronic enthusiast!

Who are Kraftwerk?

The iconic German band emerged from Dsseldorf in 1970, founded by Ralf Htter and Florian Schneider. Renowned as electronic music pioneers, they were instrumental in the genre's global popularization. Their innovative "robot pop" style melded electronic sounds with catchy melodies and minimalist rhythms, wrapped in a distinctive, stylized image. For new initiates, what is the appeal of a Kraftwerk concert? Well, for one thing, the alternately peppy and psychedelic music is crystal clear as it bounces around the auditorium to create an uplifting atmosphere.

Loved it

Beautiful set, played al the right songs at the right time. My two young kids sat through the entire concert mesmerized and without complaints, and that's a glowing endorsement. I wasn't aware of any issues with the sound. Maybe my ears aren't discerning enough, but I loved it exactly the way it was. Great fun! ... Read more

Ive seen Kraftwerk a few times and this was by far the best show from them. The sound was incredible, albeit loud (like I like it). The venue was awesome and the entire performance was spectacular. The final song "Musique Non Stop" was a perfect finishing song to a standing ovation. So good. ... Read more
