together again
Having collaborated on orchestra stages around the globe, Philadelphia Orchestra's director Yannick Nezet-Seguin and French pianist Helene Grimaud join forces once more for a breathtaking display of their successful artistic relationship. With Yannick conducting, they'll perform Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 20, highlighting Grimaud's technical virtuosity and high energy, as well as the Juba and Spiritual-inspired Symphony No. 4 by Florence Price, the first female African-American classical composer to have their work performed by an orchestra.
Further to these works, they will also perform the world premiere of Esteban Benzecry's MUYUY, The Circle of Life, a piece inspired by the indigenous beliefs of the people of the the Andes Mountains and commissioned by the Philadelphia Orchestra.
