Why see Ed Sheeran?

Celebrate 10 Years of 'X'

Join Ed Sheeran to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his incredible album 'X'. With hits such as 'Sing' and 'Thinking Out Loud', prepare for an evening to remember with one of the world's biggest singer-songwriters!

Ed Sheeran's status as one of the biggest sing-songwriters out at the moment is certainly cemented in his fifth album, which followed his fourth studio album '=' which contains the mega-hit singles Bad Habits, and 'Shivers'. It's seen him topping the charts across the world and infuses his delicate, acoustic pop with even more pronounced R&B flourishes. Now's your chance to experience the British acoustic-guitar playing legend live, where you'll no doubt hear him playing tracks off his recent albums alongside hits from his extensive catalog.

The Rise of Ed

How does a school geek, famed for his ginger hair and massive blue specs, go on to become one of the biggest stars in the world? Welcome to the Ed Sheeran School of folk acoustic hip-hop thought. Since he was younger, Ed had always wanted to make music, and he set out to write and record his own songs at a feverish pace.

With warm, lyrical melodies that can have a sharp bite, he traversed the folk-hip hop scene and emerged as a major player, selling out concerts almost immediately after the release of breakthrough single 'The A Team'.

2010 saw Ed take a one way flight to America with little more than one contact, and manage to land up be-friending Jamie Foxx, who let him use his recording studio once he'd heard Sheeran at an open mic night in NYC. Fast forward 8 years later, and Ed is besties with Taylor Swift and is something of a worldwide heartthrob. Who would have thought it?

Ed Sheeran. The Met. Philly.

Perfect venue for this brilliant songwriter. He shared his heart with the sold out crowd. For those interested in how the songs we love are created this was a deeper lesson in the pure soul of music making. A music appreciation session at its best. Presented in a lovely smallish concert hall. The sound was crisp and full. The orchestra, especially the string section added to the story behind the songs, the ballads. Even more amazing considering that the instrumentals were given to Ed by his newly paired music producer. And then he wrote all these songs in three months!!! I thought the genesis of his “Subtract” album, from beginning ten years ago with ideas and a song or two, then pivoting into writing all these songs and completing the album with new material is amazing. I hope appreciation for Ed Sheeran goes beyond dancing and singing along to his most popular songs. He is a master in the making. ... Read more

Very disappointed. Hard to hear him when he was speaking. Found crowd singing overshadowed him. Paid to hear him not the crowd. Drunk lady behind me was singing loudly and off key. Would have been nice if he used jumbo screens to see him. Left after he sang Perfect. Noticed a lot of others leaving as well. On the plus side, the concert started on time. ... Read more
