A Very Cool Holiday Concert

Curated by Philly station WDAS, the Holiday Jam returns for its second year. Headlining the bill at the Wells Fargo Center is Philadelphia daughter Jill Scott. The reigning queen of RnB and Neo-Soul, Scott has developed a no-holds-barred, honest and uniquely poetic brand of soul music and it's her smoky and emotionally charged voice that really drives her messages of self-empowerment and confidence home. Her latest record was this year's Woman, which topped the Billboard 200.

Among those joining Scott are New Edition. Billed as the new Jackson 5, the group of childhood friends from Boston burst onto the music scene in 1983 with the decidedly Jackson 5-esque Candy Girl. Only teenagers at the time of its release, the next thirty years would see the group clock up dozens of other hits singles (Mr. Telephone, If it isn't Love), before their reinvention on Sean P. Diddy Comb's Bad Boy Records in 2002.
