Based on the folk tale One Thousand and One Nights, the story follows the adventures of the titular hero. Roaming the streets of the city as a do-gooder street urchin, Aladdin and his trusty sidekick Abu's fortunes change when he chances upon a magic lamp. Inside this seemingly innocuous antique lives the boisterous genie who grants Aladdin three wishes, setting of a whirlwind of action, romance and unforgettable show tunes.
